NOTICE OF A SPECIAL MEETING OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ASHEBORO

MEETING DATE: TUESDAY, JULY 26, 2022

MEETING TIME: 7:00 PM

LOCATION: CITY OF ASHEBORO

PUBLIC WORKS FACILITY,

1312 N. FAYETTEVILLE STREET,

ASHEBORO, NORTH CAROLINA 27203

At 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, July 26, 2022, the Asheboro City Council will convene for a special meeting in the main conference room at the City of Asheboro

Public Works Facility, 1312 North Fayetteville Street, Asheboro, North Carolina 27203. The first business item will be governing board action on policies required for the expenditure of funds from the American Rescue Plan Act Coronavirus State and Local Fiscal Recovery Fund. The specific policies under consideration are as follows: (a) Records Retention Policy, (b) Eligible Project Policy, (c) Allowable Costs and Cost Principles Policy, (d) Nondiscrimination Policy, and (e) Conflict of Interest Policy.

The next item of business will be the governing board’s review of options for improving public access to McCrary Park, 138 Southway Road, Asheboro,

North Carolina 27205. This review process will include active participation by meeting attendees, specifically including individuals who are not officials or employees of the city government.

As part of the review process, input will be sought on the feasibility and advisability of acquiring real property for the construction of a public street

designed to enhance access to McCrary Park. All interested persons are invited to attend this special meeting.

This special meeting notice was issued on the 21st day of July, 2022.
