The Federal Trade Commission is full of information on how to spot scams in order to make sure you don’t become a victim. Here is a flyer for a popular scam that has happened right here in Randolph County several times. Our citizens must be made aware of the criminal’s tactics and methods. Education is power! Empower yourself to fight crime!

Remember, please report scams! If you spot a scam, please report it to the Federal Trade Commission by either going online to ftc.gov/complaint or you can call them at 1-877-FTC-HELP. By reporting these scams, you help protect other individuals by helping FTC’s investigators identify the scammers and stop them before they can get someone’s hard-earned money. If you have fallen victim to a scam, please call the FTC at 352-732-9111 and your local law enforcement agency to report it.
