Farmers' Market Open to be Held July 2

Asheboro

City of Asheboro recently issued the following announcement.

The Downtown Farmers' Market opened for the season on April 14 and will be open Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays from 7 am to 1 pm. The Market is located at 134 S. Church Street. Here are some tips for shopping during this time of restricted movement:

• Be mindful and courteous of other shoppers. Keep your distance while waiting to make a purchase. Remember, six feet is equal to two yard sticks lined up end to end.

• Designate a shopper for your family and do not bring everyone to the market.

• Patrons are encouraged to wear masks and gloves.

• Patrons should purchase their goods and then return home as quickly as possible to maintain the “Stay at Home” order.

• If patrons feel sick, have a cough, or suffer shortness of breath, they should NOT come to the Farmers' Market. Even if the patrons believe they are suffering from seasonal allergies they are asked not to visit the market.

• There will be no self picking of fruits or vegetables.
