City of Asheboro recently issued the following announcement.
We are saddened to announce that, after consideration of the current public health situation and public congregation restrictions relative to COVID-19, the difficult decision to cancel this year's Independence Day fireworks show at McCrary Park has been made. As always, the health, safety and well-being of the public is the primary consideration. We look forward to an even bigger and better show in 2021.
