The Randolph County Board of Elections members discussed various voting options when they met on June 9 ahead of a state deadline at the end of July.
The state, policymakers said, want a plan submitted by July 31 about early voting measures, The Courier-Tribune reported on June 10. Members discussed one-stop voting, early voting and early Sunday voting.

Election officials have been considering adjustments to voting in North Carolina as the state deal with an increasing number of COVID-19 cases, The Courier-Tribune reported. Topics have ranged from poll-worker safety to protecting voters while also lining up staff for work.
The board will meet again in July, which it will discuss voting on Sundays, a measure that is being pushed by residents and has petitions with 120 signatures supporting the method, The Courier-Tribune reported.
