On Wednesday, March 19, former Wheatmore High School standout Rylan Smith’s current college team, the Guilford Quakers, lost 8-7 in their NCAA Division III baseball game against the Averett Cougars.

The game took place at Edgar H. McBane Field. This was their first matchup against the Cougars this season.

The Quakers’ next game is scheduled for Saturday, March 22 at 12 p.m. at James C. Fox Field against Lynchburg Hornets.
