On Sunday, March 16, former Providence Grove High School standout Makayla McClain’s current college team, the Appalachian State Mountaineers, lost 6-4 in their NCAA Division I softball game against the Texas State Bobcats.

The game took place at Bobcat Softball Stadium. This was their third matchup against the Bobcats this season.

The Mountaineers’ next game is scheduled for Friday, March 28 at 4 p.m. at Eagle Field at Veterans Memorial Park against James Madison Dukes.
