We have gotten many complaints about the buzzards around town and wanted to let the citizens know we are working on the issue with the Federal USDA Wildlife. In the next few weeks people in the area of the Water Tower near Burger King and people in the Columbia Ave area might hear loud noises that sound like fireworks or gun shots. Please note that our police department will be conducting this to scare the birds away. They are causing damage and this is a requirement to do before other measures can be taken. There is a few things you can help to keep them away.

1. Do not throw out scrap food of any kind. Please place in a bag and place in your blue trash can to be disposed of.

2. Pet food should not be left in bowls outside. Feed your animals then take up the food after they are done.

These tips do help and we are working to get this issue resolved.  We understand the frustration and ask everyone to be patient. If you are having a problem please call us at 336-824-8663 and leave a message.
