NC General Statute 143-215.1C requires the owner or operator of any wastewater collection or treatment works to issue a press release when an untreated wastewater discharge of 1,000 gallons or more reaches surface waters. The City of Randleman had an occurrence of untreated wastewater discharge from our wastewater collection system on June 2, 2022. This occurred at 7:15 a.m. on Naomi St. and discharged 30,000 gallons.
