Randolph County School System issued the following announcement on Aug. 27.
Alyson McNamara, Exceptional Children teacher at Southeastern Randolph Middle School, has been named the Lynda Petty Honored Educator Scholar for 2021-2022!
This scholarship is given by the Development Foundation of the North Carolina Center for the Advancement of Teaching, and honors the late Lynda Petty, who dedicated her life to improving public education for the children of Randolph County.
