With many Randolph County races settled during the primary, there is one seat that is contested.
Democrat Dale Bennett is challenging incumbent Republican Kenny Kidd for the District 1 Randolph County Board of Commissioners seat.
The Randolph County Commissioner for District 1 is a four-year term.
Kidd has an Associate Degree from Louisburg College, a Bachelor's Degree, from the University of North Carolina Wilmington, according to a report in the Courier-Tribune.
Bennett does not list any higher-education degrees, the Courier-Tribune reported, however, he is a store manager for Sheetz Inc.
The Courier-Tribune asked the candidates questions about the county, such as their priorities, wearing masks and their views on Confederate monuments.
There is a second commissioner seat on the ballot. However, that race was settled in the primary. District 5 incumbent Maxton McDowell defeated two Republican challengers and is running uncontested in the November election, the Courier-Tribune reported.
