Randolph County will sponsor its 11th annual blood drive via the Armed Services Blood Program (ASBP) at the National Guard Armory on Thursday, Oct. 29.
The ASBP is the official U.S. military blood program that provides opportunities for civilians, service members and their families to give back and say thanks by helping those who need life-saving blood, Randolph County said in a release. A single donation can help save three lives.
Many county citizens are serving or have served the country and may have benefited through the program, Randolph County said in the release.
All donations will support the Womack Army Medical Center, deployed military and the Department of Defense military treatment facilities.
The blood donation drive takes place from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m, at 1430 S. Fayetteville St., Asheboro.
Interested donors can schedule their appointment online at www.militaryblood.dod.mil. Face masks are required and a COVID-19 antibodies test may be administered before donating.
