Randolph County Sheriff’s Office arrests man for methamphetamine possession after traffic stop

On January 8, 2026, the Randolph County Sheriff’s Office Criminal Interdiction Team Highway Unit conducted a traffic stop near Unity Street in Thomasville, North Carolina. During the investigation, authorities performed a search and found methamphetamine.

William Clark Hedrick, age 37, was taken into custody as a result of the discovery. He was transported to the Randolph County Detention Center. According to the Sheriff’s Office, “the magistrate found probable cause for the charge of felony possession of methamphetamine.” Hedrick was not issued bond due to pretrial release conditions and had his first appearance in Randolph County District Court on January 9, 2026.
