Randolph County Sheriff’s Office arrests four after narcotics investigation

On December 4, 2025, the Randolph County Sheriff’s Office Vice Narcotics Unit, in cooperation with the Criminal Interdiction Team and the Emergency Response Team, executed a search warrant at a residence on Rambling Rd. in Randleman as part of an investigation into narcotics distribution within Randolph County. During the operation, law enforcement officers seized methamphetamine, cocaine, marijuana, prescription medications, two firearms with ammunition, and U.S. currency.

Four individuals were arrested following the search and transported to the Randolph County Detention Center. The magistrate found probable cause for charges against each individual.

Ezequiel Tejeda, Jr., age 33, was charged with two counts of felony possession with intent to manufacture/sell/deliver a Schedule II controlled substance; felony possession with intent to manufacture/sell/deliver a Schedule IV controlled substance; felony possession with intent to manufacture/sell/deliver a Schedule VI controlled substance; misdemeanor simple possession of a Schedule III controlled substance; misdemeanor maintain a vehicle/dwelling/place for a controlled substance; misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia; and misdemeanor possession of marijuana paraphernalia. He received no bond.

Melissa Christina Hamm, age 30, was charged with felony possession of methamphetamine; felony possession of cocaine; and misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia. She received a $15,000 secured bond.

Kirsten Nichole Seal, age 35, was charged with felony possession of cocaine and misdemeanor possess drug paraphernalia. She received no bond.

Eloir Rodriguez-Jimenez, age 44, was charged with felony possession of methamphetamine and misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia. He received a $50,000 secured bond plus Electronic House Arrest.

All four are scheduled for their first appearance in Randolph County District Court on December 5, 2025.

Recent data from the North Carolina Department of Public Instruction shows that college readiness remains an ongoing concern in Randolph County schools. In the 2022-23 school year, only about 16% of senior students taking the science portion of the ACT were considered ready for college (https://www.dpi.nc.gov/), while roughly 14% of juniors met this benchmark (https://www.dpi.nc.gov/). For reading proficiency on the ACT during that same period, approximately 24% of seniors (https://www.dpi.nc.gov/) and 21% of juniors (https://www.dpi.nc.gov/) were deemed college-ready. Math readiness rates were lower: just over 13% for seniors (https://www.dpi.nc.gov/) and about 10% for juniors (https://www.dpi.nc.gov/).
