Randolph County Sheriff’s Office announces arrest in burglary investigation

The Randolph County Sheriff’s Office announced on May 14 that Calvin Lee Maynor was arrested in connection with a burglary reported on April 27, 2026, on Ramseur Julian Road in Liberty.

Authorities said the Criminal Investigations Division conducted an investigation that led to charges against Maynor. The charges include felony break and enter of a motor vehicle with theft, two counts of felony obtaining property by false pretense, two counts of misdemeanor larceny, and two counts of misdemeanor possession of stolen goods or property. A magistrate found probable cause and issued a warrant for his arrest.

Maynor was located in Guilford County on May 11 and taken into custody. He was transported to the Guilford County Detention Center where he was served his warrant. Officials said he received a secured bond of $5,000.

A court date for Maynor has been scheduled for June 11, 2026, at Randolph County District Court.

The defendant is identified as Calvin Lee Maynor, age 46.
