On Friday, Feb. 21, former Providence Grove High School standout Emma Mazzarone’s current college team, the Virginia Tech Hokies, won 2-1 in their NCAA Division I softball game against the Alabama Crimson Tide.

The game took place at John and Ann Rhoads Softball Stadium. This was their first matchup against the Crimson Tide this season.

The Hokies’ next game is scheduled for Saturday, Feb. 22 at 5 p.m. at John and Ann Rhoads Softball Stadium against Southern Utah Thunderbirds.
