On Wednesday, April 2, former Providence Grove High School standout Emma Mazzarone’s current college team, the Virginia Tech Hokies, won 6-0 in their NCAA Division I softball game against the Liberty Lady Flames.

The game took place at Tech Softball Park. This was their second matchup against the Lady Flames this season.

The Hokies’ next game is scheduled for Friday, April 4 at 6 p.m. at Dail Softball Stadium against North Carolina State Wolfpack.

Joshua Paul Dix has been arrested and charged with multiple counts related to sexual exploitation of a minor after an investigation by local authorities. The Invictus Task Force led efforts resulting in his arrest on May 7. The investigation is ongoing.
