In 2024, the only H-1B petition submitted by Thomasville-Archdale Pediatrics, PLLC, the only employer classified under the Health Care and Social Assistance industry located across Randolph County News publication area was approved, according to data provided by U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services via the H-1B Employer Data Hub.

That year, the statewide average approval rate for H-1B petitions stood at 98%, slightly higher than 2023’s 97.8%. Across the publication area, employers across all industries submitted 28 petitions during the same period, with an approval rate of 96.4%.

While the Educational Services industry led the H-1B filings with 15 petitions, representing 53.6% of all submissions in Randolph County News publication area during 2024, the next largest contributor was the Manufacturing industry, which accounted for six petitions and represented 21.4% of the total. Among petitions from employers in the Manufacturing industry, 83.3% were approved and 16.7% were denied.

Compared to 2023, the Health Care and Social Assistance sector saw an increase in the number of H-1B petitions across Randolph County News publication area during 2024.
