On Wednesday, Feb. 19, former Trinity High School standout Chase Wade’s current college team, the Guilford Quakers, won 13-8 in their NCAA Division III baseball game against the Southern Virginia Knights.

The game took place at Edgar H. McBane Field. This was their first matchup against the Knights this season.

The Quakers’ next game is scheduled for Thursday, Feb. 20 at 2 p.m. at Edgar H. McBane Field against Brevard Tornados.

Joshua Paul Dix charged with felony sexual exploitation of a minor in Randolph County

Joshua Paul Dix has been arrested and charged with multiple counts related to sexual exploitation of a minor after an investigation by local authorities. The Invictus Task Force led efforts resulting in his arrest on May 7. The investigation is ongoing.
